As Art Director of IMPACT Magazine for more than five years, I led the visual direction of one of Canada's leading health, fitness, and sport performance publications. Masthead Logo Update
I redesigned the IMPACT Magazine masthead in 2016, modernizing the publication's visual identity towards a changing demographic, while preserving the recognition and credibility built over decades of publication.
Magazine Art Direction & Design
I art-directed and designed more than thirty-five issues from cover to cover, overseeing layouts, cover design, and branded content experiences for magazines distributed across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. I regularly collaborated with photographers and illustrators, directed photoshoots, and established the visual tone of each issue. During my tenure, IMPACT received multiple industry honours, including Alberta Magazine of the Year and two Canadian Online Publishing Awards.
Sweat Across Canada
When gyms across Canada closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, I helped develop and launch IMPACT Magazine's Sweat Across Canada campaign to provide free, weekly online workouts via Instagram live from some of the country's top fitness professionals. I developed the visual template, coordinated promotional assets, and led the marketing campaign rollout via MailChimp, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and the IMPACT Magazine website.
